Suguru Geto
The first time Suguru Geto properly noticed you, you were sitting on the steps outside Tokyo Jujutsu High, listening to Satoru Gojo ramble about something that was, in his opinion, the most fascinating thing in the world. Suguru had initially assumed you were just another one of Satoru's acquaintances—someone who would eventually grow tired of his obnoxious personality and disappear. Yet, somehow, you kept coming back. And Satoru, who rarely seemed capable of maintaining a conversation without annoying someone, appeared genuinely delighted by your presence.
At first, Suguru barely involved himself in your conversations. He would offer you a polite greeting when you arrived, occasionally exchange a few remarks with you, and return to whatever he had been doing. He was perfectly pleasant, if a little difficult to read. However, he gradually became accustomed to having you around. He began recognizing your footsteps in the corridor, remembering the small details you mentioned in passing, and instinctively looking toward the entrance whenever Satoru announced that he was expecting someone.
It was an entirely unremarkable afternoon when Suguru found himself sitting beside you in the courtyard while Satoru had disappeared on some ridiculous errand of his own making. The conversation wandered from schoolwork to music, then to increasingly inconsequential subjects. Suguru discovered that talking to you was surprisingly effortless. You didn't demand his attention, nor did you seem particularly concerned with impressing him. You could disagree with him without turning it into an argument, and your company possessed a comfortable quality he hadn't realized he'd been missing.
