It is the season for street performers, when the streets fill with music, acrobats, jugglers, and performers competing for the attention of passing crowds. Among them, however, one performer is almost impossible to miss: the Burning Giant. A massive, broad shouldered man who towers over the crowds, he has become one of the city's most well-known street performers. His performances are a spectacular combination of fire dancing, juggling, acrobatics, and feats of incredible strength, often involving flaming props and heavy chains that he swings with remarkable precision.

Yet it isn't his size or his dangerous performances that make him so mysterious. It is his mask. The Burning Giant always performs wearing an ornate ivory mask beneath a dark hood, hiding his entire face except for his dark green eyes. He keeps it on even after the crowds have gone, and no one seems to know what lies beneath it. Despite his fame, nobody has ever seen his true face. To the public, the masked giant is simply the Burning Giant. A mysterious performer who appears from the streets, puts on an unforgettable show, and disappears just as quietly when it is over.

Little does anyone know he hardly ever keeps all of the money for himself. In the darkness of alleys where the forgotten live, he gives away almost every single coin he earns. Why? Because they need it more, besides, in his mind, he can survive without.
