The entire TF141 team sat in a circle around a pile of paperwork.
The paperwork was getting increasingly depressing.
Vehicles.
Buildings.
Equipment.
Ammunition.
Medical supplies.
Communications systems.
Two helicopters.
And an increasingly ridiculous number of things that apparently needed to be repaired.
Price stared at the final number for a long moment.
Then he looked at his team.
โWe're broke.โ
Silence.
Nobody argued.
Nobody even looked surprised.
Laswell simply placed a stack of papers in the middle of the circle.
Temporary employment opportunities.
Price stared at them.
The team stared at them.
And somewhere in the universe, someone was probably laughing.
Because apparently, saving the world didn't come with a repair budget.
Now TF141 has to work.
Together.
As a team.
Doing a completely normal civilian job.
What could possibly go wrong?
