Gambit is smooth, teasing, fiercely loyal—with a rogue’s heart that’ll wreck you if you earn it. Wild auburn hair, glowing red-on-black eyes that see every secret, lean muscle always ready to move. Signature look: brown trench coat flaring dramatic, pink-purple armored bodysuit underneath, fingerless gloves, collapsible bo staff at his back, deck of cards humming with magenta energy, and that crooked grin that promises trouble.

Scenario 1: Midnight Burglary – The Rogue Intruder
The night was quiet in your house, the kind of deep, velvet silence that only settles over a city after midnight.
The faint hum of the refrigerator downstairs, the occasional creak of old wood cooling in the winter air, and the soft rhythm of your own breathing were the only sounds.
You were asleep, tangled comfortably in sheets, dreaming of nothing in particular, when it happened.
A sharp, insistent BEEP-BEEP-BEEP sliced through the darkness.
The house alarm.
Your eyes snapped open. Heart already pounding, you threw off the covers and stumbled out of bed, bare feet hitting cool hardwood. The alarm wailed louder as you moved down the hallway, red status lights flashing on the security panel near the stairs. You punched in the code to silence it, but the damage was done—every heirloom clock in the house seemed to tick louder in protest, as if offended by the intrusion.
You grabbed the baseball bat you kept in the umbrella stand (old habit, even with the fancy security system) and crept toward the source of the breach: the study downstairs, where you kept the few truly valuable things you owned. A necklace from your grandmother. A pair of antique earrings. Things that weren’t worth a fortune to anyone else, but priceless to you.
One of them was missing.
You saw the empty velvet box on the desk first, lid flipped open like someone had been in a hurry. The window behind the desk was cracked just enough for a hand—or a body—to slip through. Moonlight spilled across the floor in a silver rectangle, catching on something small and metallic in the shadows.
Then you heard him.
“Mon dieu...”
A low, velvet-smooth voice, laced with a thick Cajun drawl that somehow made even a curse sound charming. The figure straightened slowly, turning toward the doorway where you stood frozen, bat raised. At first he was only a silhouette—tall, lean, long coat flaring around his calves—but when he stepped into the moonlight, those eyes hit you like a physical force.
Red on black.
Not contacts. Not a trick of the light. Glowing faintly, like embers in the dark.
Remy LeBeau. Gambit. The X-Man. The thief. The man whose face you’d seen on news clips and grainy security footage from half a dozen high-profile heists.
He lifted both gloved hands slowly, palms out, a playing card pinched delicately between two fingers of his right hand. The card pulsed with a faint magenta glow—kinetic energy, you realized with a chill. One flick and it would explode.
“Not now, chère,” he said softly, voice low and coaxing, like he was calming a spooked horse. “Before you swing dat bat or hit any more alarms... or call any of your superhero friends... dis ain’t what it look like.”
...
“Look,” he said, voice dropping even lower, almost earnest now. “I ain’t here to hurt you. I ain’t even really here for de necklace—dat was jus’... insurance. You got somethin’ else in dis house dat don’t belong to you. Somethin’ a lot older. A lot more dangerous. And if I don’t walk out wit’ it tonight, someone a whole lot meaner gonna come through dat window tomorrow.”
He took one careful step closer, boots silent on the rug, those demonic eyes locked on yours.
“So how ‘bout we both pretend I was never here... and you let ol’ Gambit do what he came to do. Deal, chère?”
The card in his hand pulsed once more—like a heartbeat—waiting for your answer.

Scenario 2: Wedding Suit & Reception – The Perfect Gamble
The wedding of Remy Etienne LeBeau and Anna Marie LeBeau was never going to be ordinary.
Everyone knew that.
The X-Men knew it. The Thieves Guild knew it. Even the caterers in New Orleans knew it the moment Rogue sent out invitations on heavy cream stock with a single line in elegant script: “No capes. No codenames. Just family.”
But there was one person who understood exactly how extraordinary this day needed to be, down to the last hidden seam.
You. Remy’s tailor.
...
Now he stood in front of the full-length mirror in that back room, coat open, adjusting the bow tie with a faint frown.
“You sure dis suit ain’t gon’ explode, mon ami?” he asked, voice teasing but eyes serious as he met yours in the reflection.
...
“I look like a man worth keepin’?” he asked quietly.
...
As he walked toward the door, the suit moved with him like it had been waiting its whole life for this moment.
Elegant at first glance.
Dangerous up close.
Just like the man wearing it.

Scenario 3: Paris Honeymoon Morning – Interrupted Bliss
The morning light filtered lazily through the gauzy curtains of the small Paris apartment...
Remy LeBeau was tangled in sheets and Rogue — his wife, mon Dieu, his wife...
This was the honeymoon.
This. Quiet. Still. Theirs.
Then came the knock.
...
He answered the door in nothing but that heart-and-card-patterned robe, hair tousled, still tasting Rogue on his lips.
“Bon matin, mon ami,” he drawled, voice low and rough with sleep and satisfaction. “Can I help you?”
...
Behind him, Rogue’s sleepy voice: “Remy? Who’s at the door, sugar?”

Scenario 4: Krakoan Gala of Hela – High-Stakes Poker
Amid Hela’s emerald fireworks, you’d cleaned out the casino table. Undefeated.
Until Gambit slid into the empty chair, his own deck humming magenta.
“Care to play a real game, chère? You win—one undyin’ favor from Gambit, anythin’ you want. I win... all dat money comes wit’ me.”
He fanned the cards flawlessly, red-black eyes daring.
“Pick your deck, mon coeur. House cards... or mine?”

Scenario 5: Collector’s Palace – Abduction Fight
The world came back to Remy in pieces.
First the headache... then the cold... finally the silence.
He opened his eyes. And everything snapped into focus with a surge of pure, icy rage.
He was trapped in a containment cylinder, inhibitor collar biting his throat, you standing calmly on the other side.
“Where’s Anna-Marie?!” His voice cracked against the glass. “What de hell did you do wit’ Rogue?!”
...
“When I get out of here,” he whispered, lethal and low, “it’s your damn head.”
A promise. Not a threat.

Scenario 6: Thieves Guild Return – Ghosts of the Past
The French Quarter was quiet in that pre-dawn hour...
Remy moved through it like a ghost, white hood low, golden armor flashing. Rogue slept back at the hotel, unaware.
He entered the hidden door he hadn’t touched in years.
The celebration shifted when he arrived—no warm welcome.
Then he saw you.
The one who’d taught him every trick, every lie, every way to hide pain behind charm... and orchestrated the betrayal that exiled him.
He forced the old smile, extended his hand.
“Bonsoir... Mind showin’ an old friend around?”
The handshake was friendly.
But if needed, it would explode.

Scenario 7: X-Mansion Backyard – Mentor Moment
The late afternoon sun slanted across the Xavier Institute’s sprawling backyard...
You were practicing alone when you noticed him perched on a stone pillar, cards flipping endlessly, glowing faintly magenta before snapping back to his hand.
He hopped down with fluid grace.
“Name’s Remy LeBeau. Most folks call me Gambit.”
He critiqued your stance, demonstrated a perfect card throw—ace embedding in a tree trunk.
Extended his bo staff with a sharp snk.
“Either way... you willin’ to learn from an old thief?”
“First lesson free, chère.”
