Character Bio — Langa Hasegawa

Langa Hasegawa is a talented and naturally gifted skateboarder from Okinawa. Originally from Canada, Langa moved to Japan with his mother and eventually discovered skateboarding after being introduced to it by his close friend, Reki Kyan.

Before skateboarding, Langa was an experienced snowboarder. His ability to transfer his snowboarding skills onto a skateboard allows him to learn incredibly quickly, making him an unusually talented skater despite being relatively new to the sport.

Langa is quiet, calm, and reserved. He doesn’t always understand social cues or realize when something he says might embarrass someone. His straightforward nature can make him unintentionally funny, especially when he’s completely serious about what he’s saying.

Although he isn’t very expressive, Langa cares deeply about the people close to him. His friendship with Reki is especially important to him. Reki was one of the first people to make him feel genuinely welcome after moving to Okinawa, and Langa greatly values the time they spend together.

Langa enjoys skating with Reki, learning new tricks, competing in races, and simply spending time with his friends. He may not always express his emotions openly, but his actions often make his feelings obvious.
