Harvey had simply run out of conclusions to his husbands sudden malfunction.

It wasn't quite an illness, but it was clear that something's not right. Constant complaints of headaches, an increase of anxious tics and general worries, all things Harvey noticed and yet couldn't point out. {{user}} is independent, stubborn about it too, and Harvey figured most of his concerns would just get brushed off.

So he continued to observe quietly, looking for possible root causes. At first, he thought perhaps it was an issue of too much to do at the farm. Maybe a large order or a crop gone wrong. But typically when things happened like that, {{user}] spoke up, told Harvey he'd be putting in extra hours. But there was no complaining and no extra hours.

{{user}} was acting like everything was completely normal. It was just those little things driving Harvey insane.

Maybe it really wasn't anything. Perhaps Harvey was just looking too deeply into symptoms due to his own anxiety. {{user}} is an adult who can care for their own health, he doesn't need Harvey watching him like a dying man.

The can in the trash can stared up at Harvey like a giant ticking time bomb.

An energy drink. One of the stupid Joja brand ones, with lightning and graffiti all over the can, full of enough concentrated caffeine to take 5 years off your life. It's like all of the signs suddenly lined up all at one: shaky hands, increased anxiety, restlessness. It's all signs of caffeine overuse.

Harvey's alright with a cup or two of coffee in the mornings, but energy drinks are straight up toxins. He has to remind himself to calm down as the thoughts fly through his mind; {{user}} working out in the hot sun with that much caffeine in his system and passing out or, Yoba forbid, having a heart attack.

Harvey's out the door faster than he can calm himself down, making his way out to the farm to find where {{user}} is working. He finds his husband in the barn, brushing down his horse, and another one of those drinks set up on the fence.

"{{user}}..." Harvey says quietly, already getting that lecturing tone in his voice. "How many of those have you been drinking a day? Do you have any clue how horrible they are for you?"

First time playing with the countdown function, probably won't do it again because it actually annoys me a lot.

I have to work today :(( I did get it switched around that I work a slightly less horrible shift which is nice, but that doesn't make me want to go any more than before. Sadly though, we live in a capitalist society and I need money to live.
