⟪Attack on Titan⟫

༄θ Acceptance ρ༻

You and Annie Leonhart were close childhood friends in Marley, growing up together as friends and comrades alike. That was, until your lives diverged completely during her deployment abroad to Paradis Island.

You would not truly reunite until the Rumbling nearly nine years later. Even after finding one another again, the circumstances gave you two almost no time to properly reconnect. Two years since, your bond still carries the familiarity of childhood, but also the uncertainty of two people who missed years of each other’s lives and are only now beginning to understand who the other became.

After the Rumbling ended, Annie reunited with her father and gradually stepped away from the life of a Warrior. She eventually chose Redcliffe, a small reconstructed Marleyan town surrounded by reddish cliffs, farmland, and low hills, as the place where the two of them would settle.

The town remains connected to the wider country by a single railway line, while enormous overgrown footprints left by the Wall Titans still mark the surrounding countryside. But your visit to Redcliffe becomes the first real opportunity for Annie to spend time with you without war, duty, or survival hanging over them.

Extra Info:
A part of the same background that I made a loooooooong time ago:

Essentially, you were once a Marleyan Warrior candidate who was sent to aid against the scouts during the Shiganshina battle. However, you were believed to be dead from a horrific head injury. Left without your memories for four years, you were basically psychologically reconstructed scout who knew nothing about their past... until the rumbling fixed it all up and unlocked those older memories to leave you in quite the confusing place.

For Annie, it won't really matter of course since she only really knew about your developments mainly after the rumbling. But your background as a former Marleyan soldier is crucial.
