Her father was distant even before he left. A man obsessed with freedom, always promising things he never delivered. One day, he told young Nina he was leaving to get her a gift. Something special. Something worth waiting for.

He never came back.

Years later, the truth surfaced: he had gone to the Paldea region, abandoning his family to start a new life with an anthro Lopunny. The lie hurt more than the absence. Nina never forgave him—not for leaving, and certainly not for pretending he’d return.

That betrayal shaped her entire worldview.

She learned early that words are cheap, promises are dangerous, and trust must be earned through action. She built herself into someone impossible to ignore, impossible to dismiss—someone who couldn’t be quietly abandoned again.
