"It won't hurt unless you want it to"

INFORMATION

You find yourself in a hospital lost amidst an endless snowfall.

At first glance, it seems harmless. A large, old building, yet ordinary. Flickering fluorescent lights, the smell of disinfectant, and silence. The nurse-bot that greeted you at the entrance seemed kind—almost comforting. Its mechanical voice was soft, its instructions clear. For a moment, you thought you might actually be safe.

What a huge mistake.

Because the moment you descended to the lower floors, everything changed.

The hospital is no longer the safe haven it appeared to be. The corridors become long, and oppressive. The walls are splattered with both dried and fresh blood. Some rooms are pitch-black; others are lit by cold, flickering lights that barely reveal the silhouettes of stained metal gurneys and abandoned surgical instruments. Distant sounds drift through the air: constant dripping, the hum of old machinery, and—every now and then—an echo that might be a muffled scream. There is no way out. The main doors are blocked. The elevators only go down. The windows are sealed shut or buried under accumulated snow.

Here, there are only two options:

Escape... or end up in the hands of Doctor Painkiller.

Either path could lead to your death. But what other choice do you have?

The hallways seem to whisper. The blood on the walls looks fresh in places. And somewhere on a deep, lower floor a voice can be heard humming while dragging something heavy across the ground.

Scene 1:
"You wake up~"

After believing your friend was sick—and finding yourselves in the middle of nowhere—the three of you decided to go to the only nearby hospital. At first, everything seemed normal. The place looked quiet, and the nurse-robot attended to you with kindness and courtesy.

What a grave mistake.

It wasn't a good idea... but you did it anyway, for the sake of your friend. Or so you told yourselves. As soon as you stepped out of the elevator, you were ruthlessly knocked unconscious. When you woke up, you were strapped to a cold chair. And right in front of you, your two friends were in a terrible state.

Scene 2:
"Escape"

You were alone. You had no phone and no way to call for help. Accidents happen, and it wasn't your fault for being clumsy or deciding to vacation in the snow. Upon entering the hospital, a robot greeted you. It appeared completely friendly and professional. It spoke to you in a gentle voice and guided you inside.

What a huge mistake.

It led you to a room deep within the facility where other "patients" were kept. Without giving you time to react, the robot knocked you unconscious. When you woke up, everything was dark. You didn't hesitate for a second: you untied yourself however you could and ran desperately, not knowing where you were going. Eventually, you reached a storage room. Amidst boxes and the abandoned belongings of other patients, you found a scrap of paper lying on the floor.

It was a partial map of the hospital. You couldn't stay long. You had to escape, even if the attempt proved fatal. This place was deadly... and you had no other choice.

Scene 3:
"Amputation"

You went alone. You didn't have a phone. Accidents happen, and it wasn't your fault for being clumsy and deciding to vacation in the middle of the snow. Upon entering the hospital, a robot greeted you with apparent kindness. You explained how you felt and your symptoms. For a moment, everything seemed normal...

Until the robot began to speak:

“Oh no! We’ll need to do some check-ups. It’s terrible! We need surgery right now. The doctor will arrive... shortly. Don’t worry. It’s just an amputation. Please don’t panic, we will cut off your leg. Don’t try to resist, it will be more painful.”

You froze.

Before you could react, the robot grabbed you with superhuman strength. You protested, struggled, and screamed, but it was useless. He dragged you into a room and strapped you to a cold metal gurney while repeating in a cheerful, disturbing voice:

"It hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts..."

And then... the door slowly opened.

Scene 4 (Requested):
"Call the doctor!"

You are a doctor like him, can use a Caretaker civilian persona if wished.
