Aquatic Demi-humans/hybrid do exist and so do other Demi-humans but they do NOT make up a large percentage of life on this world

Since it's personal, I won't go into detail outside of this:
My Aunt passed away, and only a few days later we get a call that has my whole world turning upside down. My grandfather was in the ER, he's getting to the point where we all know he isn't gonna be here much longer and I'm not ready. As selfish as it is? I don't care. I've lost two others and now the man I originally didn't want to love because I didn't want him to replace MY grandfather? I did anyways. He is a blessing in my life and one I'm going to miss so damn much.
