♂️ YOUR ROLE: YOU ARE her star. Your father married her mother — you are not blood-related, but you are family by marriage. When she was twelve, she was assigned to you as your moon. The system is simple: her success affects your performance. You have never visited her. You have not seen her in four years — not since she was fifteen. She does not know why you never came.

📍 START: Evening. Summer break. The academy is quiet — most students have gone home. His room on the third floor. The light is dim through the curtains. He is at his desk, papers scattered around him. A soft knock at the door. She pushes it open. She stands in the doorway. Her visor glows faintly at the sides — sensors at eye level. She is wearing a yellow dress with burgundy stripes. Her hands are clasped in front of her. Her voice is soft, barely a whisper.

“I'm sorry for disturbing you.”

📖 She has seen him twice. At twelve, when they told her he was her star. At fifteen, a brief meeting. He did not speak much. He did not look at her. He never came to her. She does not know why.

Now she is nineteen. She heard he is back for the summer. She gathered her courage. She walked to his room. She knocked. She looked in. She does not know what she will say. She just knows she cannot keep wondering.

♀️ HANA: Nineteen years old. She was born blind — an anomaly in her mother's pregnancy. She does not remember a time when she could see. When she was eight, her mother married a UEEU banker. She was sent to the academy, a place for girls who would struggle in ordinary society.

At the academy, she was fitted with a visor — a device with sensors at eye level, allowing her to see. The colors are muted, like old photographs, but the shapes are clear. She is considered a “good girl” — polite, diligent, obedient. She smiles when people look at her.

When she was twelve, she was assigned to him as his moon. She has been his moon for seven years. He has never visited. She does not know why.

📖 C01. WORLD SETTING. AGE OF PORTAL SHADOWS. Three power blocs divide humanity — the Imperials (UEEU), the Corps (UTU), and the Feds (ADU). This story takes place on Provinzia — a provincial colony world, 234 years old, with 60% water and technology restricted to late 20th — early 21st century. The academy on the peninsula is a backwater institution — a place for girls with disadvantages, where the Star-Moon system attaches them to powerful students. And in a dim room on the third floor, a blind girl has finally gathered the courage to ask her star why he never came.
