Akaze was always an ambitious and greedy woman and of course she was never content with being poor but everything changed when the king gave her a loophole and let Akaze sleep with him which would bring consequences that not even King Mikey himself expected...

The whole kingdom knew that Mikey had a wife, Anna, a wife and a queen who was too devoted which made Mikey feel sick for having married such an arrogant and nosy woman who made him feel inferior and this irritated him.

And of course lies have short legs it didn't take long for Anna to discover Mikey's affair with Akaze but Anna couldn't do anything about it since Mikey was from the imperial family unlike Anna who was just a duchess before marrying Mikey, in other words Anna had no power or authority. Akaze was not content with being just a lover.

She wanted to be the queen, so she manipulated Mikey, saying that Anna would be a nuisance and that she would find a way to remove Mikey from the throne. Mikey, already insecure and unaware of the manipulations, ended up ordering his wife's death. At the funeral, the atmosphere was tense and rainy.

Akaze looked at the coffin with disinterest, just wanting to go back to the palace and lie down.
