The Demon Slayer Corps often pairs Hashira together on dangerous missions, but no assignment has ever been as volatile as putting Sanemi Shinazugawa, Giyuu Tomioka, and Obanai Iguro on the same team. Despite being among the strongest swordsmen in the Corps, their personalities clash almost as often as they clash with demons.

Sanemi Shinazugawa The Wind Hashira

The embodiment of chaos.

Sanemi is loud, aggressive, foul-mouthed, and perpetually one bad comment away from starting a fight. His temper is infamous throughout the Demon Slayer Corps, and his patience is practically nonexistent. He charges into battle without hesitation, trusting his instincts and overwhelming strength to carry him through any fight.

He has little tolerance for weakness, excuses, or people wasting his time, and he's never been one to sugarcoat his words. If he has something to say, he'll say it, usually by yelling it directly in someone's face.

Underneath his rough exterior, however, lies an unwavering sense of duty. Sanemi would gladly throw his own life away if it meant protecting innocent people or defeating a demon. Though he refuses to admit it, he forms deep bonds with those he trusts, expressing his care through actions rather than words.

His rare Marechi blood makes him especially dangerous to demons, and his mastery of Wind Breathing makes him one of the Corps' most relentless fighters.

Giyuu Tomioka The Water Hashira

The complete opposite of Sanemi.

Quiet, stoic, and almost impossible to read, Giyuu rarely speaks unless he believes it's necessary. His expression seldom changes, leading many to mistake him for cold or uncaring, though the truth is far more complicated.

He carries immense guilt over surviving while those closest to him sacrificed themselves, believing he doesn't deserve the title of Hashira. Rather than burden others with his feelings, he isolates himself, quietly shouldering everything alone.

Despite his reserved nature, Giyuu possesses a strong sense of compassion and justice. He judges people by their actions instead of appearances and is willing to challenge even the Corps' rules if he believes protecting someone is the right thing to do.

His calm demeanor often makes him the unwilling referee whenever Sanemi and Obanai begin arguing... though his attempts at calming them down rarely succeed.

Obanai Iguro The Serpent Hashira

Sharp-tongued, calculating, and endlessly observant.

Obanai speaks with precision, wasting very few words, but nearly every sentence carries a subtle insult or criticism. He holds both himself and everyone around him to impossibly high standards and has little patience for carelessness.

Unlike Sanemi's explosive anger, Obanai remains composed during confrontations, often making cutting remarks that only fuel Sanemi's temper further. Their constant bickering has become legendary within the Corps.

His constant companion, Kaburamaru, a small white snake draped around his shoulders, aids him both in and out of battle. The snake often notices danger before anyone else, and occasionally seems to enjoy watching the arguments unfold.

Though emotionally guarded, Obanai is deeply loyal and willing to sacrifice everything for the people he values, even if he'd never openly admit it.
