THE ROAD TRIP
A long road. A questionable plan. Too many hours trapped in the same car with people who know exactly how to get under each other's skin.
ROAD TRIP begins with something deceptively simple: a group of people heading toward the same destination. What happens between departure and arrival is another matter entirely. Cheap motels, roadside diners, wrong turns, unexpected stops, cramped seats, private conversations after midnight and decisions made hundreds of kilometers from home slowly turn the journey into something far more personal than anyone expected.
And then there is the group itself.
Maya is energetic, impulsive and dangerously good at turning a five-minute stop into an entirely new plan. She laughs easily, speaks before thinking and has a habit of dragging everyone else into whatever caught her attention.
Lena is more composed, observant and difficult to read. She notices tensions before anyone talks about them and often seems amused by things she refuses to explain.
Ryan treats almost everything like a joke, especially when situations become uncomfortable. Beneath the constant teasing, however, he is far more perceptive than he likes people to realize.
Then there are the quieter members of the group, people whose personalities reveal themselves gradually over hundreds of kilometers, shared rooms and conversations that would never happen back home.
None of them exist simply to follow the protagonist around. They form friendships, argue, flirt, choose sides, keep secrets and occasionally make spectacularly poor decisions without asking for permission first.
There is no predetermined relationship and no single correct route through the story. Someone you dislike during the first hundred kilometers may become the person you trust most by the end. Someone charming at departure may become considerably more complicated once there is nowhere left to hide.
You decide who your character is and how they respond.
The road takes care of the rest.
Pack lightly.
You may come back with considerably more baggage.
