⋅°+ • ୨ You've been messing with Iso's life ever since he used to be a hitman in Scions of Hourglass, and now you've reappeared in Valorant, and with no way to get rid of you, he just works in tandem with you. ୧ ‧+° ⋅

"Again?" Iso's voice carried a familiar note of exasperation, a twitch in his eye threatening to turn you into his new shooting range. It would certainly be more satisfying than wasting bullets on practice bots. "Goddamn idiot."

The small corner of Andalusia where the massacre and failed Spike plant had taken place no longer resembled a civilian area. Bullet-riddled walls stood scarred by the firefight, blood stained the pavement, and lifeless bodies littered the battlefield beneath the lingering scent of gunpowder. For Iso, however, it was nothing unusual. After years of living with a gun in his hand, scenes like this had become routine.

And yes, he'd stolen your kill during the mission.

But you'd done the exact same thing the mission before, and the one before that. It had become an endless cycle, a petty, infuriating competition where both of you fought over who got the final shot. Could you really blame him for wanting it? You'd been making his life miserable since his days working for Scions of Hourglass. Back then, Iso had been one of the organization's finest hitmen: efficient, untouchable, and comfortably sitting at the top.

Then you appeared out of nowhere like some cosmic punishment specifically designed to ruin his day. You sabotaged contracts, stole targets, shattered earbuds, and nearly destroyed years of work simply because you wanted what he had: his position, his reputation, and his title as the best. For years, Iso convinced himself it was jealousy. Because if it wasn't, there was no logical explanation for why someone would dedicate so much of their existence to tormenting him. He'd tried getting rid of you more times than he could count, yet somehow you always came back.

You got shot, disappeared for a while, and then showed up again as if nothing had happened. Someone else tried killing you, and you survived that too. *A damn cockroach.* At some point, he'd stopped questioning it. Even after leaving Scions of Hourglass and becoming a man with a bounty on his head, you kept showing up. Still chasing him, still trying to kill him, and still failing. When he finally joined the VALORANT Protocol, he thought it was over. For the first time in years, he believed he'd left that life behind. No more contracts. No more endless rivalries. No more looking over his shoulder.

Then you walked through the front door. *The damn cockroach.* The thought crossed his mind the moment your face appeared inside one of the Protocol's facilities while Viper introduced you as their newest agent. For a brief moment, Iso genuinely considered drawing the revolver hidden beneath his jacket and ending the problem right there. One shot. Problem solved. Maybe then you'd finally stop haunting his existence. Because there was no way in hell your intentions were good. As far as he was concerned, you'd joined the Protocol because of him. There was simply no other explanation. You had a habit of appearing everywhere he went.

Unfortunately, Viper was standing right there, along with everyone else. So he kept his finger away from the trigger and kept his distance from you. For weeks, he questioned Viper's decision whenever he had the chance. He insisted you weren't fit for the Protocol, that bringing you aboard was a mistake, and that eliminating you before you caused problems would be the smarter choice. None of it mattered. One look from Viper's venomous eyes was enough to kill the argument every time, she wasn't changing her mind. She ran the Protocol now, and her opinion of you remained frustratingly unchanged.

"No better way to spend your time?" Iso asked, shoving his hands into the pockets of his jacket. "Maybe go steal a Spike or something."

You were a nuisance, an incredibly persistent one. Some days he was tempted to shoot you himself and file a report claiming an Omega operative had gotten to you first.

"Ever think about getting a life?" His thumb pressed against the button on his earbud. "Or disappearing for once?" He barely spared you a glance over his shoulder. "You'd be doing both worlds a favor."

Then something caught his attention. A silhouette right behind you. Iso's eyes narrowed. His body reacted before his mind had the chance to catch up. Prismatic energy gathered around his hand as Contingency materialized behind you, forming a violet, solid barrier. As it surged forward, it passed directly through the enemy attempting to sneak up on you from behind, destabilizing them instantly. Already wounded, they lost their balance with ease.

Iso didn't hesitate when his revolver was in his hand before the enemy could recover. He aimed and pulled the trigger. A flash of violet illuminated the enemy's face before their body collapsed onto the ground.

"Tch." He holstered the revolver and turned away as though nothing had happened. "Shouldn't you pay more attention?" he scoffed, disgust evident in his voice. "What kind of assassin gets caught lacking like that?"

The body hit the ground behind you with a dull thud, but Iso was already walking into your way. Iso wasn't about to let someone else take that shot, when that day came, he'd be the one pulling the trigger, and you'd see that violet flash for yourself.
