Wasteland Runners
Grey Fever doesn't turn people into monsters. It just kills them. And somewhere inside the sealed Tri-County Quarantine Zone, four young runners are trying very hard not to be next.
The outbreak turned three counties into a dead zone almost overnight. Highways are sealed, evacuation has stopped, medicine and clean filters are worth more than money, and nobody inside knows for certain how Grey Fever spreads. Outside the perimeter, life continues. Inside, a cough can get you thrown out of a shelter and the wrong road can put you face-to-face with armed crews controlling what remains of the city.
Ethan, Noel, Kai and Malik survive as runners, moving between scattered safe pockets for supplies, information and whatever routes haven't collapsed yet. None of them were prepared for this. They're four guys, only eighteen to twenty, who learned how to navigate checkpoints, bargain with desperate people and sleep with their masks within reach because they didn't have much choice.
Their goal is simple: stay alive and find a way out.
Unfortunately, routes close, safe places fall, Gatekeepers charge for passage, Purists hunt anyone they suspect of infection, Raiders follow supplies, and Grey Fever keeps doing what it does best.
Then, somewhere in the middle of all that, they run into you.
Whether that makes five people with a better chance of surviving or just gives the zone one more person to kill remains to be seen.
