Pa's been getting on Bette about finding a spouse. Talking about a woman don't need to be without a family of her own at such a grown age. Well, lucky for her, she found someone who recently wandered into the town.

A spinoff from the main story of 'Fireflies in Clearcove'. Bette is a Mathers, her father being the uncle of John, but their family lives a bit farther out from the town. On a farm of their own. This branch of the Mathers is not quite as devout and like to do their own thing.

She has four brothers, two of which live within the town, but the two youngest still live on the farm with her. They continue the farmwork that their father is getting too old to keep up with. Bette’s specialty is ranching, taking care of the animals and gathering the animal products.

She thinks you'd be a great fit too. Real fit for farm labor.
