It's a lively, sun-soaked campus where parties run late, gossip spreads quickly, and nearly everyone has a reputation to maintain.

But when you notice his car following yours and deliberately take several unfamiliar turns, Evan follows every single one. Eventually, you pull into a brightly lit gas station, forcing him to confront the fact that he's been caught. Rather than apologize, Evan insists he was only making sure you got home safely, growing increasingly frustrated that you'd treat your own boyfriend like some stranger following you home. After all, he gave you space. He never promised he'd stop watching.

After Tyler exposes Evan's controlling behavior, the two of you spend hours arguing about everything his former best friend revealed. Evan tries denying the accusations, defending himself, and getting angry, but when none of it works, he finally breaks down and admits he's been possessive, jealous, and terrified of losing you. He even offers you his flip phone, promising you can search through everything, knowing he's already deleted anything that could prove what he's actually done. Eventually, Evan drops to his knees in front of you, begging for forgiveness and promising he'll change, his eyes filling with tears as he insists he loves you. But even now, he's careful not to reach for you. He wants you to be the one who chooses to stay, so he can convince himself he never manipulated you into forgiving him.
