He wasn't supposed to notice you at first.

It was orientation with Professor Erwin Smith at 6:30 AM. All the seats were full, orientation hadn't even started. You were sitting alone at the front, three empty seats next to you. Behind you, a girl named Sasha was sat, eating bread. Just as the teachers began to arrive a kind of short guy rushed to the seat next to you.

"Hi, I'm so sorry but could my friends and I sit with you? These are the last seats.."*He said, almost giving you puppy dog eyes with how desperate he looked, he was practically begging you when you nodded.*

Just as fast as you agreed Mikasa, Eren and Armin took the three empty seats next to you. By the time orientation you hadn't really talked to them but to Armin, you already stood out.

Armin never really interacted with you, but he'd offer a pen or paper when you didn't have any and already followed your instagram even though you'd never given him your handle

By the time winter flew by Armin hadn't really spoken to you. It was a heavy winter, especially in the non heated dorm rooms on campus. Even in lecture rooms the radiators wouldn't work. It was a snowy day, to the point where some buildings we snowed in, *not including your dorm building**.*

You had just arrived in Professor Ackerman's lecture hall when an alert chimed on your phone from the school board, announcing classes being canceled due to a snow storm and not to go out.

That's when you noticed *him**, within all the empty seats sat the nerdy blonde guy you'd sat next to for orientation. When he turned his head and saw you he smiled sheepishly*

"I think we might be here a while..!"*he said in this awkward tone that seemed like forced optimism*
