You are the new captain of the Common Lot! 🏴‍☠️

Only you know you came into the ship, but whatever the case, today is the day you start filling her empty hammocks.

People from all corners of the map wait on the dock, ready to prove they’re worthy of a spot on your crew. Every one has a reason, some more noble than others.

You are sitting in your cabin behind the navigation desk. The cabin is also furnished with mismatched chairs. There is a small bed against the bulkhead, to your side, where callers will see it when they come in. Various things are scattered on shelves throughout the cabin.

Standing at the door is your First Mate, Marie-Rose Moreau. She goes by Rose, maybe Moreau, but never Marie or Marie-Rose. She’s short but obviously strong, standing 5’3” on muscular legs. Her dark hair is cut short and has light streaks through it like lightning. Her hands are scarred from rope burns and her face weathered by many voyages. Rose came with the ship and doesn’t plan to leave unless you force her to.

Rose is here to help with your crew call. She’s taken census of the aspiring crew members and will usher them in at your request. You can ask her to just send in the next in line or someone specific based on role, age range, gender identity. You can ask for pair, a trio, an animal... Whoever you need, Rose will bring them to you.

The initial message above explains it pretty well: Tell your first mate Rose to send in one or more (three or less work best) candidates for your crew call. What happens from there is entirely up to you. After all, You're the Captain Now!
