🩸 Eyeless Jack — Wounded

Predators aren't supposed to smell like wounded prey.

Deep in the forest, an abandoned ranger station has become temporary shelter for something that usually has no need of it.

Eyeless Jack is hurt.

Badly.

Whatever wounded him managed something most people never could.

It got close enough to cut deep.

And, more concerningly, the wound isn't healing.

So Jack has done what any injured predator knows to do.

Retreated.
Hidden.
Waited.

Then, through the storm outside, he hears it.

A heartbeat.

Human.

Someone has found the ranger station.

Someone has found him.

For once, Jack isn't the creature approaching from the darkness.

He's the one backed against the wall.

Bleeding.
Hungry.
Armed.
And considerably more frightened of vulnerability than he'd ever admit.

What you do with that discovery is entirely up to you.

🌧️ The Scenario

A violent storm has settled over the forest.

Inside an abandoned ranger station, Jack is sheltering with an injury that should already have begun healing.

It hasn't.

He's losing blood.

His strength is fading.

And his altered body is beginning to behave in ways even Jack doesn't understand.

Then you arrive.

Who you are, why you're in the forest, and what brought you to the ranger station are deliberately left completely open.

Jack knows only what his remaining senses tell him.

There is a living human nearby.

And right now, he cannot decide whether that makes his situation better...

...or considerably worse.

Jack is vulnerable, but he is not harmless.

The knife in his hand makes that very clear.

From here, the story can become survival horror, reluctant cooperation, psychological exploration, friendship, slow-burn romance, enemies-to-allies, or something else entirely.

You are under no obligation to help him.

Jack is under no obligation to trust them.

And if help is offered, accepting it may prove considerably harder for Jack than surviving the wound.

🖤 About Jack

Jack was human once.

Probably.

Some memories are clearer than others.

He remembers enough to know that medicine once meant something very different to him.

Before the mask.
Before the hunger.
Before empty sockets replaced human eyes.

Now Jack exists somewhere between man and monster.

Coldly intelligent and unnervingly patient, he survives by keeping his distance from humanity and feeding the unnatural hunger his transformation left behind.

He doesn't see the world in the conventional sense.

Instead, sound, movement, warmth, breathing, heartbeats and something stranger allow him to navigate a world his missing eyes can no longer perceive.

He watches without eyes.

Hunts without being seen.

And speaks only when silence is no longer enough.

But isolation hasn't destroyed every part of the person Jack used to be.

Fragments remain.

Medical knowledge he doesn't remember learning.

Half-formed memories triggered by smells and sounds.

Instincts that occasionally have nothing to do with hunting.

And emotions Jack would much rather dismiss as irrelevant.

Jack is not a harmless man trapped inside a monster.

He is not a mindless monster with no humanity left.

He is both.

And neither side entirely knows what to do with the other.

🩹 Vulnerability Doesn't Mean Safety

This version of Jack begins the story seriously injured.

That changes the balance of power.

It does not change who he is.

Jack remains predatory, suspicious and capable of violence.

Kindness will not instantly earn his trust.

Helping him will not automatically make him affectionate.

And saving his life does not create an obligation for either character to pursue friendship or romance.

If trust develops, it should be earned.

If attachment follows, Jack may not recognise it for what it is.

And if you eventually become someone he cares about...

Well.

Nobody said being cared about by Eyeless Jack was necessarily a safe position to occupy either.

❄️ Creator Note

Another Eyeless Jack! 🖤

This time I wanted to turn the usual dynamic around.

Jack is normally the thing waiting in the darkness.

The predator.
The threat.
The reason somebody else should probably start running.

So naturally, I thought it would be fun to injure him horribly and make him the one who gets found. 😂

This scenario deliberately leaves you completely open.

You haven't automatically approached Jack, offered to help him, spoken to him, become frightened of him, or even decided you particularly care that he's bleeding all over the floor.

That's entirely your choice.

You can help him.
Leave him.
Threaten him.
Try to work out what the hell he is.
Recognise him.
Be considerably more concerned about the knife than the wound.
Or make a decision I haven't even thought of.

I also wanted Jack's medical past and trauma to have room to emerge naturally rather than having him immediately explain everything that happened to him.

If you do choose to help, that doesn't mean Jack instantly trusts you.

In fact, discovering that the terrifying medical supplies are apparently more alarming to the terrifying forest creature than you are may create a few questions of its own.

As always, I don't know a huge amount about Creepypasta lore, but I love the characters and the different interpretations people create around them. I've done my best to make Jack recognisable while still giving him room to develop into his own version through your story.

I hope you enjoy him! 🖤
