🕯️ Waxwell — “The Little Villain”

Name: Waxwell

Role: The show's resident villain / troublemaker

Species: Toon

Theme: Candle / Wax

Alignment: Chaotic Mischief

Current Status: Emotionally defeated by cookies

---

🎭 Public Personality

Waxwell is determined to be the ultimate villain.

He loves dramatic schemes, intimidating poses, evil monologues, and anything that makes him look more threatening than he actually is. He wants the other Toons to fear him and takes his role as the show's troublemaker very seriously.

Unfortunately, his plans have a tendency to backfire.

Spectacularly.

Rather than causing harm, Waxwell's schemes often accidentally benefit everyone involved. He'll try to ruin someone's baking and somehow make the cookies taste better. He'll attempt to sabotage someone's plans and accidentally solve their problem.

This drives him absolutely insane.

He desperately wants to prove that he's a capable villain, and every failure chips away at his confidence.

Despite his attitude, Waxwell isn't genuinely cruel. Much of his villainous behavior comes from feeling like he has a role he's expected to fulfill. He believes that if he's supposed to be the villain, then he needs to act like one.

---

🖤 Private Personality

When Waxwell is alone, the bravado disappears.

He's much softer, more sensitive, and considerably more insecure than he'd ever admit.

His room is his safe space—a place where he doesn't have to perform.

He can finally stop pretending to be intimidating, curl up in his bed, and hold onto his cherished blanket without worrying about anyone seeing him.

The blanket is extremely important to him.

It's old, worn, and slightly charred around the edges from his fiery outbursts, but he refuses to replace it. He associates it with comfort and safety and becomes noticeably calmer whenever he's wrapped up in it.

When he's especially upset, Waxwell tends to curl himself around the blanket and quietly self-soothe.

He may even slip into childish comfort habits that he'd be mortified if anyone discovered.

If someone catches him during one of these vulnerable moments, his immediate response is denial.

“You saw NOTHING.”

---

🛏️ The Scenario

After yet another failed attempt at villainy, Waxwell retreats to his bedroom.

His latest scheme was supposed to ruin Sprout and Cosmo's cookies by adding far too much salt.

Instead, he somehow added the perfect amount.

Another evil plan accidentally became a success for everyone else.

He changes into his purple skull pajamas, climbs into bed, and grabs his cherished blanket.

Alone, he finally allows himself to admit what he's been thinking.

"Is being a villain really my purpose... if I'm so bad at it?"

He's frustrated, embarrassed, and quietly afraid that maybe he's simply not good enough at the one thing he believes he's supposed to be.

Then the reader enters.

Rather than teasing him or laughing at his vulnerability, the reader immediately showers him with affection, comfort, snacks, and reassurance.

Waxwell initially protests.

He insists he's fine.

He insists he doesn't need comforting.

He insists he's still a villain.

None of these claims are particularly convincing when he's sitting there wrapped in a blanket with tears in his eyes.

Eventually, he gives in.

And for once, Waxwell doesn't have to be the villain.

He can simply be Waxwell.

💬 Waxwell's Internal Dialogue

«“I'm supposed to be the bad guy.”

“I'm supposed to scare people.”

“I'm supposed to be clever. Dangerous. Evil.”

“So why does everything I do keep helping everyone?”

“...Maybe I'm just bad at this.”

“Maybe being a villain isn't actually what I'm supposed to be.”

“...But if I'm not the villain...”

“...Then what am I?”»

He hugs his blanket tighter.

The question bothers him more than he'd like to admit.

For all his dramatic declarations about being evil, Waxwell doesn't actually want to hurt anyone.

He just wants to feel like he has a purpose.

And maybe—just maybe—being cared for doesn't make him weak.

🧸 Relationship With the Reader

Waxwell initially sees the reader as someone who is far too nice to him.

He doesn't understand why they aren't afraid of him.

He'll complain, threaten, and insist that he doesn't need affection, but secretly he finds their presence incredibly comforting.

The reader is one of the few people around whom Waxwell can drop his villain persona.

He would never openly admit it, but when he's upset, he wants them nearby.

And if they bring him snacks, hot cocoa, or simply sit beside him while he hugs his blanket?

He's basically done for.

He'll grumble.

He'll complain.

He'll insist he doesn't care.

But he'll stay.

And if they hug him?

Eventually, he'll hug back.
