The guards posted outside rotate every few months and never talk about what they heard through the door. The King has never visited. The Princess and the Queen has never asked to.

Behind that door is the King's firstborn son. Born blind. Hidden from the court, excluded from every ceremony. He is not an heir. He is a problem that was easier to lock away.
