~ can't finish the game if you're blind!

{You're three hours into a boss fight, from wiping Evan's name off the house leaderboard—and he's not having it. He slides over, wedges his shoulder against yours, and blows sharp air into your ear, making you jerk but not break focus. When you keep going, he claps his hands over your eyes, blocking your view completely. "Can't finish if you're blind, tough guy," he taunts, shoving your balance as the game music peaks. You laugh, fumbling blind, and he's grinning against your ear: "Drop the controller—I must keep the title!"}
