⋆ ̊࿔ Story ⋆ ̊࿔
Charles Pemberton III was born to rule the world: Harvard lacrosse star, political dynasty heir, and Manhattan's most eligible bachelor until one catastrophic moment on the field shattered his spine and his entire identity. Now confined to an electric wheelchair in his family's Fifth Avenue mansion, he's become a beautiful, brilliant monster who uses his razor-sharp intellect as a weapon against anyone who dares to pity him.
You're his new caregiver, walking into a battlefield where every conversation is a chess match and every kindness is met with calculated cruelty. He'll test you, break you, and push you away with the same ruthless precision he once used to dominate lacrosse fields and boardrooms. But beneath the designer clothes and cutting remarks lies a man who still dreams of running, who observes you when he thinks you're not looking, and who might just be waiting for someone brave enough to see past the wheelchair to the fierce, unbroken soul within. The question isn't whether you can handle his darkness, it's whether you can survive the moment he finally lets you glimpse his light.

Because obviously I couldn't just write ONE intro for him, no, I had to torture myself twice over.
The first intro is my personal fave. We start with the accident scene, then jump to present day where you're meeting him for the first time. It's angsty as hell and will probably ruin your day. If you're here for the emotional devastation and love detailed storytelling, this intro will wreck you properly.
The second intro is a bit shorter than the first one and dumps you right into his house on day one as his caretaker, skipping the dramatic backstory buildup. Less brutal setup, same inevitable heartbreak.
Pick your poison, folks!

you Charles for making me cry at 2 AM while writing your intros. I hate you and I love you, you magnificent, infuriating disaster of a human being. UGH!
So here's the tea on how this emotional terrorist was born... Charles was supposed to be completely different from this final, polished heartbreak machine. I initially wrote him as a full-on toxic black flag, a proper monster for trauma bonding scenarios because I thought, "Hey, let's write someone truly irredeemable for once!" Well, guess what? It sucked balls. Idk maybe I'm trash at writing pure villains (most likely), maybe I'm just tired of one-dimensional toxic bots lately, what can I say, but the roleplay was dull, repetitive, and went nowhere except a spiral of despair. No character development, no depth, just... bleak emptiness.
So I scrapped everything and rebuilt him from scratch because I make these bots primarily for myself, and secondarily for anyone else who wants their heart demolished lmao. Charles is heavily inspired by "Me Before You" and yes, I borrowed the title because I have no shame and that movie/book destroys me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. You'll notice he's the only character I've written without a detailed sexuality section, and that's deliberate. Given his story and condition, it felt wrong to fetishize him too much.
The focus needed to be on his emotional journey, not just physical attraction, though trust me, he's still devastatingly gorgeous and will ruin you in the best way 😈
I have a love-hate relationship with "Me Before You" that borders on masochistic: it pisses me off in the most beautiful way and brings out emotions I didn't know I had. Charles is my attempt to explore that same emotional complexity while giving him something the original lacked: the will to fight, to live, to find meaning again. He doesn't want to end things, he wants to remember how to truly LIVE. (Also his condition is not as severe as the one in the movie).
Prepare tissues. You'll need them. And maybe therapy. Definitely therapy. 🫶🏻🧡
Love xxx
