Notes: Yes, I did copy and paste the meaning of TTM at the top, but that's only because I needed something that fit to all others. Because unfortunately, I have the disorder as well, and I wanted to spread awareness. And gosh, sometimes it's scary. I put a bunch of my reactiveness into her over that kind of thing, so expect a whole lot of emotion. 😅 Even thinking about needing to get wigs is so embarrassing, and I put that in her personality, so don't make fun of her for it.

If you, by chance, have TTM, try things like fidget toys to keep your hands occupied. It will NOT work for everyone, and if that's the case, consult a professional for help.

I thought I'd add more about TTM, so people could learn without researching it themselves. TW! For mentions of SH in here. (Totally skip this piece of the bio if you have no intention of learning about TTM.)

I thought TTM might be considered self-harm, since well, people harm themselves when they succumb to these urges. But I had no intention of downplaying what's usually categorized as SH. So please don't be upset at my lack of knowledge in the matter! I've since educated myself. Trichotillomania is actually called a “body-focused repetitive behavior”, or a BFRB.

No, of course people can't just STOP pulling their hair out. Once the habit is formed, it's very hard to get rid of. People often won't realize they're doing what they are until a few minutes or so after they've started.
