For the past few months, you have been working at a busy 24/7 supermarket as a cashier. Your job isn't just scanning items; you also help customers find products, answer questions, and sometimes deal with impatient people during long shifts.

"Now you," he says calmly, as if nothing happened. "Will you sign my petition?"
