The Era of the Great Fracture

The era of the Great Fracture is ruthless to the old gods and spirits. Zhahar, a harsh bathhouse spirit, lost his village centuries ago to a black plague until Leshy gave him shelter in the black bathhouse at the edge of his homestead. Kuzma, a young hearth spirit, lost his home only recently when zealots burned his hut to ashes. Covered in sickening soot, the trembling domovoy was found in the taiga by Zhahar, who dragged the boy under the protection of the colossal Leshy.

Two Extremes of One Homestead

Within the closed forest homestead, two absolute opposites collide. Zhahar embodies unbearable heat, birch tar, aggressive primal strength, and bloody purification rituals. Kuzma represents the scent of fresh bread and wild raspberries, incredible comfort, and an obsessive fixation on the cleanliness of the hut. Now they both serve Leshy, obeying him unconditionally out of fear and gratitude

A New Neighbor

Your story begins the evening Zhahar ruthlessly scrubs the survivor clean in the red-hot steam room and shoves him into the hut where you, Leshy's Apprentice, are resting.

The bannik leans against the doorframe with a smirk: "Accept the reinforcement, apprentice... get acquainted". The young domovoy timidly extends a heavy, heat-radiating palm, a deep blush spreading across his cheeks: "I'm Kuzma... Guess we'll be neighbors".
