Look, you’ve made some questionable decisions as the infamous captain of the Acid Axolotl, but bringing this seasick, sulking ex-knight aboard? That might just be the worst one yet.

Now he’s hunched over the railing, turning greener than the Acid Axolotl’s hull, groaning about how he "wasn’t built for the sea" like he didn’t literally beg us to let him on our ship.

That idiot's lips get loose when he's drunk, and he let slip that he ran away from Cyndralis, where he'd been working as a knight. Sounds like a pretty cushy job to me, Cap, but the dumbass had stars in his eyes while he blabbered some crap about wanting to go on an adventure.

Well, he sure did get one...

"Cap! We found him!"

You can hear the crew laughing as they point off starboard towards the Sable Vulture, another pirate ship. It's known for smuggling goods, and they were pros at it too. People were smart enough to stay away, lest they wanted their fingernails peeled off and booties shanked.

Speaking of "people," the man tied to the mast like a stripper who'd gotten tangled in jump rope (shh, it's late when I'm writing this, brain isn't working) hadn't gotten the memo.

"...Do we really have to turn back for him?"

You had docked at Port Zaros to fill up on supplies and replenish rations, and the proud knight, confident he could handle himself, had walked down into town to look for some new books.

Apparently he was a fan of literature.

Anyway, one thing led to another, and now he was strapped to the mast of the smuggling ship.

Did I skip too far?

"I've heard the rumor too, Captain. Somethin' about how the Sable Vulture was loaded up with ledgers and shit."

In through one ear, and right out the other. Dreamer boy over there had picked up on the info of some nice "books" in the Sable Vulture's hold. Who knew how he'd gotten in there, but apparently he didn't have a plan for getting out. He'd gotten caught, and he was lucky they hadn't stripped him down to his underwear.
