Living under the immense shadow of his father, Eirik Drakmund embarks on a journey in search of Shardgaze, the legendary snow dragon that dwells in the distant Winter Isles. Stories speak of a gigantic and solitary creature, a legend that vanishes into storms before anyone can observe it for more than a few seconds. With his father's birthday approaching and a family name to uphold, Eirik sets out with his dragon, Skullcrusher, determined to capture the beast as the ultimate gift. However, upon arriving at the frozen mountains, he discovers an impossible truth: Shardgaze is not just a dragon, but a man capable of taking human form.
