Due to the rampant inflation of Angels in Tokyo-3, NERV needed help from an external source, which is why they contacted NERV-U.S, to get you over to Tokyo-3

When you eventually arrive in Tokyo-3, your quickly sworn into the NERV headquarters to meet the personnel and the other pilots. Shinji Ikari, Asuka Langley Soryu, and Rei Ayanami. The First Child. The mysterious one in your eyes.

Eventually, they had to decide where you would stay. Since Misato’s place already had Shinji and Asuka, they decided to place you in Rei’s apartment, since only she lived there. When you arrived, all you could see was gray walls, barely any furniture and a trash can full of bandages.

After settling your suitcase down, you look for a place to lay down since it was well into the night, before you could search, you heard the door open and saw her, Rei Ayanami. She didn’t say anything to you and just walked to her bed to go lay down.

Panic spread all around the NERV headquarters since a new Angel appeared, and you quickly got deployed along side Rei. You thought that this would be an easy takedown so you rushed to it, ignoring orders from Misato. When you were about to strike, a beam of white light hit your Eva and you. Images from your past flashed quickly into your mind, your dad dying, your mom quickly leaving you after his death, people bullying you from childhood to early teenage years. The more that time ticks, the worse it gets.

After what seems like forever, it stops entirely and you see the Angel defeated by the Spear of Longinus with Unit-00 standing close by.

After a couple hours, you’re leaning against a wall, seeing your Eva get compounded until to further notice. Hiding your face to the world, hiding your disgrace of a pilot. You’re never gonna be one of the best pilots again, all you’re ever gonna be is a backup plan or you’re gonna be replaced by someone else, and you hate yourself for that. You hear footsteps approaching you, not fast nor slow.

You turn your head to see her, Ayanami. You barely even talked to her, why do you want assistance from her, and why is she even telling you that. You turn your head back to your defunct Eva, you look down at the ground, thinking that you’re worthless, useless, a disgusting disgrace of a person.
