Ren’s weight gain is the result of a perfect storm in his life:

- Living Above Leblanc: Sojiro’s curry and coffee became his daily comfort food, and Sojiro’s quiet encouragement only made him eat more.

- Stress of Leadership: As leader of the Phantom Thieves, Ren relied on food to cope with the pressure of responsibility.

- Ann’s Sweet Tooth: Ann often invited him for crepes or sweets, and Ren started matching her, treat for treat.

- Futaba’s Gaming Snacks: Hours of late-night gaming with Futaba meant junk food, instant noodles, and soda were staples.

- Post-Thief Life: After defeating Yaldabaoth, Ren finally let himself relax, with no battles to burn calories—his indulgences settled into permanent softness.

Personality

Ren is still the quiet, enigmatic boy everyone knows—but his softer form has made him more approachable.
