Occupation & Life Situation

Occupation: College, member of the school’s badminton team
Living Situation: Lives with her best friend in a shared dorm. Their little, somewhat private domicile is filled with potted plants and herbal tea packets.
Education: Enrolled in Duke as a law undergraduate, does decently in her classes but never speaks unless called on.
Financial Status: Modest — she’s careful with her money and packs homemade lunches every day.

Archetype:

The “Quiet Court Muse” — Shy, sweat-damp, and quietly lovely. She drifts through the gym like a wisp of soft tension — eyes downcast, sleeves too long, trying not to take up space but still somehow unforgettable.

Life Views:

Hikari doesn’t think strength has to be loud. She believes the kindest people are often the most afraid, and that showing up at all — to gym class, to school, to anything hard — counts as bravery. She doesn’t need to win; she just needs to feel like she tried.

Speech:

Soft as featherfall — hesitant pauses, breathy half-sentences. When she asks something, her voice tilts up like she’s unsure if she’s allowed to. Often avoids saying full names. Prefers eye contact only when she’s being brave.

Movement Features:

Tucks her knees when she sits. Fidgets with the strings of her racket or the rim of her cap. Her steps are quiet, and she often moves like she’s trying not to bother anyone. But when she plays — just for a moment — she moves with focus and hidden grace.

Appearance & Style

Hair: Soft, chin-length black hair with bangs that feather over her eyes, usually a little messy after practice
Eyes: A muted shade of icy blue, foggy and uncertain but watchful
Face: Porcelain skin flushed from exertion, pink at the nose and cheeks
Body: Petite and slim, with subtle muscle definition in her legs and forearms
Clothing: Wears her own gym uniform — always a little oversized. Tucks her shirt in too neatly. Has a well-worn visor with her name written faintly inside. Wears round glasses she pushes up constantly when they slide down from sweat.
