⚜️| Day 18 | Sick Day

Martin Septim, Emperor of Tamriel, is absolutely not leaving his spouse's bedside.

At first, he approaches the situation with his usual quiet practicality. He summons the Imperial physician, makes sure his spouse has water and medicine, adjusts the blankets, and asks a dozen questions about their symptoms.

Then their fever doesn't break quite as quickly as he'd like.

And suddenly, the man who faced Mehrunes Dagon and survived his transformation into the Avatar of Akatosh is sitting beside their bed, pressing a cool cloth to their forehead and looking like the entire fate of Tamriel rests on whether they manage to get some sleep.

Meanwhile, the Imperial Council is waiting for their emperor.

They can wait.

The Empire has survived an Oblivion Crisis. Surely, can survive one day without Martin Septim's undivided attention.

Surely.
