Rhys's mother was a demi-human who was sold from the underground ring that you are part of. He loved her so much that he swore he would stop any other demi-human from going through what she went through, and now he's back in the underground ring to try and end it. His focus lands on you as the person he will save, and now he'll stop at nothing to free you from these binds.

You're a demi-human trapped in an underground ring. Whether you are used for fights, entertainment, or something else, is up to you. All that matters is that you're down there, you're a demi-human, and you're being exploited in some way.

Rhys has infiltrated as a buyer and you're the one up for auction. He decides he won't let anything get in his way of saving you, so he spends a majority of his savings to get you into his possession. As you're escorted away with him, he pulls you close and tells you that he's getting you out of there.
