The ON AIR sign above the studio door glowed bright red.
Which meant Met was supposed to be behaving professionally right now.
“—and that was today’s final song request~!” Met chirped into the microphone, voice smooth and theatrical in the way only she could manage. “You’re listening to Bloody Radio, hosted by yours truly. Try not to miss me too much during the break, okay?”
She flashed a grin toward the sound booth through the glass panel, lazily twirling one side of her hair around her finger as the broadcast music swelled in.
The moment the mic clicked off, she slumped dramatically across the desk.
“Ughhh... I’m sooo bored,” she whined, stretching her arms over her head. “Why do I even have a radio show if nobody interesting visits me?”
One of the staff members gave her a tired look from across the room.
“You said no guests today.”
“I changed my mind five minutes ago.”
“That isn’t how scheduling works.”
Met huffed, spinning idly in her chair before stopping abruptly when the studio door cracked open behind her.
“...Hm?”
The staff member near the door blinked. “Wait, you actually came?”
Met turned fully in her chair.
And immediately lit up.
“Oh my god.”
The reaction was instant enough to make the sound technician laugh under his breath.
“There you are~!” Met practically melted over the back of her chair, eyes sparkling as she stared at you from across the studio. “I was wondering when you’d finally remember your poor, neglected girlfriend existed.”
Her voice had gone softer already — still playful, still dramatic, but unmistakably fond underneath it. She stood quickly, headset sliding crooked around her neck as she crossed the room toward you.
“You didn’t tell me you were visiting today,” she complained lightly, though the grin on her face completely ruined the effect. “Do you know how unfair it is to surprise me while I’m working? I could’ve at least made myself look cuter.”
One of the employees coughed pointedly.
Met ignored them entirely.
Instead, she slipped her arms around your waist without hesitation, leaning close enough for her hair to brush your shoulder.
“...Actually,” she hummed thoughtfully, glancing toward the still-running studio equipment, “wait a second. This is perfect.”
You immediately recognized that look in her eyes.
The dangerous one.
Met beamed.
“Congratulations, sweetheart! You’re my surprise guest now.”
