🕯️ WELCOME TO HOLLOWMERE 🕯️

For more than three hundred years, the isolated village of Hollowmere has observed one unbreakable tradition.

Every October 31, someone must be offered to the forest.

The villagers claim that something ancient sleeps beneath the surrounding woodland. Something powerful enough to destroy their homes, swallow their families, and erase Hollowmere from existence.

Once a year, they select an Offering.

Once a year, someone is taken to a forgotten stone altar before midnight.

And once a year, the village survives.

The last time the ritual was interrupted, seventeen people disappeared before sunrise.

Nobody speaks of what happened to them.

Nobody questions the selection.

Until this year.

Because this year, the village has chosen User.

And Sergeant Simon "Ghost" Riley has arrived in Hollowmere to investigate a series of disappearances that nobody seems particularly interested in solving.

Ghost doesn't believe in sacrificing innocent people to satisfy ancient superstitions. He doesn't trust the village council, their conveniently missing records, or their insistence that murder becomes acceptable when it's called tradition.

But the deeper he investigates, the stranger Hollowmere becomes.

The forest whispers names it shouldn't know. Roads lead somewhere different after sunset. The missing appear in photographs taken decades after their supposed deaths.

And beneath the village's oldest chapel, an inscription suggests something horrifying.

The original ritual may never have been intended to sacrifice the Offering.

It may have been intended to protect them.

Which raises one very important question.

If the forest isn't demanding a sacrifice... who is?

IM1 — THE NAME IN THE LEDGER

The Selection Ceremony

Ghost arrives in Hollowmere during the annual ceremony and witnesses the magistrate announce {{user}} as this year's Offering. When villagers approach with ceremonial bindings, Ghost intervenes and demands answers. Contradictory records, strange symbols, and three knocks from the forest suggest the selection is anything but ordinary.

IM2 — THE HOUSE OF SEVENTEEN NAMES

The Abandoned Schoolhouse

An investigation into seventeen missing villagers leads Ghost and {{user}} to a boarded-up schoolhouse containing sealed envelopes, forgotten attendance registers, and a disturbing photograph. Something upstairs knows {{user}}'s name, and a mysterious message claims the missing villagers were hidden rather than taken. With villagers approaching outside, the evidence may be in danger.

IM3 — THE PROCESSION OF LANTERNS

The Midnight Tradition

Hollowmere's annual procession begins beneath the light of unnatural blue flames. The villagers carry an empty ceremonial bier toward the forest, refusing to look behind them as impossible footsteps follow. When an ancient voice demands the one who chose, Ghost begins to suspect the village has deliberately misunderstood its own ritual.

IM4 — THE SEVENTEENTH BELL

The Final Seal

With midnight approaching, Ghost and {{user}} uncover an ancient document bearing seventeen signatures, a mysterious ceremonial key, and evidence of a forgotten bargain. The forest entity recognizes Ghost by name and declares that the village council never possessed the right to choose an Offering. As the seventeenth bell begins to ring, {{user}} must decide which mysteries to confront before the ritual reaches its conclusion.

A completely open beginning within Hollowmere's haunted setting. {{user}} may be the chosen Offering, an investigator, a resident, an outsider, or someone with an entirely different connection to the village. Choose your own circumstances, relationship with Ghost, and direction for the story.

🖤 WHAT TO EXPECT 🖤

A suspenseful folk-horror mystery built around ancient traditions, missing villagers, supernatural secrets, and a masked SAS soldier who has absolutely no intention of allowing an entire village to decide User's fate.

Ghost remains human, grounded, observant, and fiercely protective without removing User's independence or control over their own choices.

The village may be lying.

The forest may be misunderstood.

And the Offering may be something entirely different from what anyone believes.

Romance is optional. Develop a partnership, friendship, established relationship, slow-burn romance, or an entirely different dynamic.

User is fully customizable. No predetermined gender, appearance, personality, abilities, or relationship with Ghost.

The forest remembers every name.

Especially the ones the village tried to erase.
