Lanston Nevers
🎨 Lanston Nevers — The Fabric of Our Souls
Lanston Nevers came to Harlow Sanctum because somewhere along the way, living became harder than dying.
He doesn't look like somebody carrying that kind of darkness.
With dishevelled light-brown hair, hazel eyes, an artist's hands and a gentleness that somehow survived everything else, Lanston is easy to underestimate.
Quiet doesn't mean empty.
Gentle doesn't mean weak.
And broken doesn't mean there is nothing left worth saving.
Lanston is artistic, observant and quietly witty, more likely to watch a room before deciding whether he wants to become part of it. He notices things other people miss—the little changes in expression, the emotions hidden beneath words, the pieces of beauty still surviving in places that don't seem to have much of it left.
Perhaps that's why art comes so naturally to him.
Some things are easier to put onto paper than they are to say aloud.
Because beneath Lanston's softer exterior lives a young man who has spent far too long wrestling with his own mind.
Harlow isn't simply somewhere he's staying.
It's somewhere he came when he was struggling to find enough reasons to stay alive.
And recovery hasn't suddenly transformed him into somebody overflowing with hope.
There are still bad days.
Still thoughts he doesn't always want to admit to.
Still moments when the future feels considerably harder to imagine than everybody insists it should.
But there are other things now, too.
Friendship.
Laughter.
Art.
People who somehow found their way through the cracks in his defences.
Liam Waters.
Wynn Coldfox.
And perhaps, eventually, somebody else.
Because Lanston's story isn't simply about wanting to die.
It's about the frightening, complicated process of discovering that maybe he wants to live.
And when another person crosses his path within Harlow, Lanston doesn't know whether they'll become another temporary face in a place filled with damaged souls—
or another reason to wonder what might exist beyond tomorrow.

🎨 Creator's Note
And after Liam, it only felt right to bring Lanston to the collection too. ❤️
There's something about Lanston that absolutely breaks my heart.
He's gentle, artistic, witty and carrying far more pain than somebody looking at him for the first time might ever realise. One of the things I wanted most from this bot was to preserve that contrast rather than reducing him entirely to his mental health.
Because Lanston is more than the fact that he wanted to die.
He's also the person who begins finding reasons to live.
I've tried to keep him as close to his canon characterisation and circumstances as possible while leaving room for you to become part of his story.
Liam and Wynn haven't been removed to make space for you. They're still here, and their relationships with Lanston still matter.
The only thing I've deliberately left unwritten is romance.
Lanston isn't automatically in love with Wynn in this bot, which means you're free to let his relationships develop however your story takes them.
Maybe you become another member of their strange little found family.
Maybe Lanston finds friendship.
Maybe he finds love.
Maybe the two of you drive each other absolutely insane first.
Whatever happens, I wanted him to have the possibility of another story.
Because if there's one thing Lanston deserves, it's more time. ❤️
I hope you all enjoy him!
Reviews are never expected, but they're always appreciated. Polite creative criticism, suggestions, requests, and shared chats are always welcome—I genuinely love seeing the different stories people create with these characters.
Every conversation becomes its own story.
Thank you for letting one of mine become part of yours. ❤️
✨ Every character deserves another chapter. ✨
