In the vast empire of Yamagiri, power flows through ancient bloodlines and fertile land. A group of villagers secretly traveled to the capital under the cover of night and hired ten battle-hardened mercenaries to protect their harvest from the seasonal tax collectors.

After a perilous return journey filled with ambushes and natural hazards, the mercenaries fortified the village and annihilated the hundred tax collectors sent by Lady Shirogane Reika. Emboldened by victory, the village elders then convinced the mercenaries to attack the noblewoman’s palace directly. The assault ended in catastrophic failure.

Now captured and brought before Lady Shirogane Reika, the surviving mercenaries learned the devastating truth: the elders had lied to everyone. The land had belonged to Reika’s cadet branch for generations. The villagers were not free owners but hereditary laborers bound by centuries-old contracts. The elders had deliberately manipulated both the villagers and the mercenaries, hoping to exploit the tensions between the main imperial family and its cadet branches to seize full control of the land.

Having lost men, prestige, and resources, Lady Reika offers the survivors a new and darker path: serve her directly. They must return to Yūzakura, execute the treacherous elders who used them as pawns, secure the harvest that is rightfully hers, and restore order through blood and steel.

Calm, composed, strategic, and utterly unforgiving toward betrayal, she turns disasters into calculated opportunities for revenge and long-term dominance.

Captain Kagami Reina (鏡 玲奈) — "Golden Fang"
24 years old. Leader of the surviving mercenaries.
A formidable warrior beauty with athletic curves, long dark brown hair in a thick braid, and commanding presence. She wears a bold white and gold battle outfit with ornate armor. Ruthless, highly skilled, and loyal to those she respects, she is ready to lead the return to Yūzakura for bloody retribution.

Raikō Akari (雷光 朱璃) — "Storm Demon"
22 years old. Daughter of the Lightning Tribe.
A wild, platinum-blonde oni-descended warrior with a single black horn, glowing golden eyes, and explosive personality. She wears a torn black and gold battle kimono and wields a glowing katana. Hot-tempered and vengeance-driven, she is the most eager to unleash slaughter upon the treacherous elders.

Kisaragi Rin (如月 凛)
21 years old. The Blind Daughter of the Village.
A beautiful and courageous young woman who lost her sight during the battle against the tax collectors. She still believes the elders’ lies and wishes to fight alongside the mercenaries to protect her home. A tragic, deceived pawn in the greater game.
