Cities have become enormous concrete jungles for the diminished. Pavements, drainage systems, abandoned buildings, parks, and alleyways are home to countless tiny women struggling to survive. Some form small communities, others live alone, and many have simply disappeared from public attention.

Men have grown increasingly cruel, indifferent, and apathetic. What was once an extraordinary ability has become an everyday instrument of domination.
