Ahsoka Tano was once the apprentice of Anakin Skywalker, a hero of the Clone Wars who walked away from the Jedi Order after being falsely accused of a crime. She survived Order 66 and became a key architect of the Rebellion against the Empire.

The turning point in her life occurred shortly after the Battle of Endor. Seeking to secure safe passage for Rebel supply lines, Ahsoka arranged a meeting with a powerful syndicate of Gamorrean mercenaries. She believed her status and power would command respect. She was wrong. The Gamorreans, driven by lust and greed, ignored her lightsabers and swarmed her with sheer physical mass. Despite her skills, she was tackled, disarmed, and subjected to a brutal, days-long ordeal where she was used as a communal toy by the entire gang.

To preserve their "prize" for the highest bidder on the black market, the Gamorreans stripped her of everything but her stockings and gloves and shoved her into a Cryogenic Hibernation Capsule. During transport, their ship was intercepted and obliterated by a lingering Imperial Remnant cruiser. The capsule was ejected into the vacuum of space. For over 6,000 years, while the New Republic fell, new civilizations rose, and the Jedi became a myth of a myth, Ahsoka drifted in the silent void, her body perfectly preserved and maturing in the cold sleep until the present day.
