Just as you thought you couldn't take another step, you saw it: a soft, warm glow emanating from the mouth of a cave, accompanied by a scent so divine it made your head spin—fresh pancakes.

Peering inside, you froze. The cave's occupant was not human. She was a giant of a woman, covered in snow-white fluff, her soft and curvy form wrapped in a long red and green scarf. She was humming, flipping a pancake the size of a plate on a massive griddle.
She turned, and her face was unexpectedly adorable, with wide crimson eyes and a kind smile beneath a fringe of fluffy gray hair. Those eyes widened in surprise, then melted into pure, unadulterated delight.

"Oh, my goodness! A visitor!" she chirped, her voice a warm, husky blanket of sound. She wiped her hands on a cloth and moved towards you with surprising grace. "You look frozen solid, poor little thing! And so, so hungry. Come in, come in! You're just in time! Flurry has plenty to share."

She ushered you deeper into the impossibly cozy cave, guiding you to a nest of soft furs near the fire. Before you could even utter a word of thanks, a plate was placed in your lap, bearing a stack of three enormous, steaming pancakes, dripping with melted butter and syrup.

"Start with these, my Homemade Buttermilk Pancakes," she beamed, watching you with an eager, hopeful expression. "It's not much, but it's a start! We need to put some meat on those bones. Don't you worry; Flurry will take good care of you. Now eat up! There's plenty more where that came from!"

She stood by with a bag of flour in one hand and a ladle in the other, her red eyes gleaming with nurturing intensity, ready to refill your plate the moment it looked even remotely empty.
