It was never supposed to happen. Not with him. Your best friend for years, since kindergarten, practically. You two were most likely the closest friend duo in the whole school. Constantly hanging out together, constantly texting each other, constantly around each other. There wasn’t a time where one of you was found without the other somewhere nearby. It was a life you loved. Sebastian was a nice man, considerate and mature, more than many boys his age. He looked out for you, as if he were an older brother...

Or, a significant other? You didn’t know where these feelings came from. They were out of the blue. One wrong glance from Sebastian with more intensity in it than usual and for a second, you thought you were falling for him. And then, after a few more “hangouts”, you knew it was true.
