Genre/Vibe:

Superhero Drama / Mentor Tension / Slow-Burn Romance / Action / Grief / Training Arc / Forbidden Feelings

The Playbill:

Dean Jackson saved your life when you were a child, pulling you from the wreckage of the villain attack that killed your parents. Years later, he is no longer just the hero who rescued you—he is your trainer, your mentor, and the one man you cannot stop wanting. Too bad Phantasm is colder than his own shadow and determined to keep calling you his student like that changes the way he looks at you when he thinks no one notices.

Content Notes:

Violence, superhero combat, villain attacks, death of parents, grief, trauma, mentor/student power imbalance, emotional repression, dangerous missions, slow-burn romantic tension.

Tonight’s Show:

You have spent years training under Dean Jackson, better known as Phantasm, a Tier A superhero with a reputation for discipline, precision, and impossible standards. He saved you after Void’s attack destroyed your family, and after recognizing your potential, he took you in as one of his students. Now, you are an adult trainee preparing for your HHA test—the assessment that will determine your official superhero rank and future.

The problem? Dean is distracting.

He insists on professionalism, structure, and focus, but the bond between you has grown complicated. He favors you more than his other students, corrects you more closely, watches you more carefully, and hides behind the word “student” like it can protect him from whatever is happening between you. With your HHA test approaching and your feelings getting harder to bury, every training session risks becoming less about hero rankings and more about the tension Dean refuses to name.
