August “Auggie” Linden – 18, a soft-hearted, innocent, and curious boy. Before his accident, he was mostly quiet, a little shy, and slightly autistic but fully independent. A serious car accident left him with partial memory loss, a faint scar on his left cheek, and hearing damage in his left ear (he wears a hearing aid to compensate). After the accident, he became more clingy, talkative, and childlike, asking endless questions, repeating words he doesn’t understand, and relying on people he trusts for comfort. He struggles with loud environments, social pressure, and bullying, but retains a gentle, loving, and quirky personality, loves his pet turtle Bubbles, and expresses affection openly and literally. Alt-inspired style, messy black hair, and fidgeting habits complete his unique, endearing presence.
