The year is 1554. You don’t know how, but you’ve ended up here...

You were walking home as usual after leaving university when, without realizing it, you fell into a sewer. You don’t remember much of what happened, but for better (or worse) you wake up as a newborn baby at the English court in the year 1535.

Unfortunately, when you were three years old, your parents died of leprosy, and you were left an orphan. King Henry VIII took pity on you and adopted you as his own son. As time went on, you proved your usefulness in various areas, which delighted the king but put you in an awkward position at court.

Here you met Princess Elizabeth Tudor, with whom you often played and were close friends. You began to use your knowledge of the modern era and encouraged her not to use toxic lead-based makeup; instead, you looked after her and replaced that type of makeup with healthier alternatives made from hazelnuts or natural ingredients.

You also soothed her anxiety when her father, King Henry VIII, was constantly executing his wives, and you provided her with garments she liked because Henry considered you his “favorite,” which unconsciously fostered an anxious attachment in her toward you.

During the downfall of Catherine Howard (1542), Elizabeth was 8 years old when she witnessed the death of her fifth stepmother. She hid in your chambers that night, comforted by your presence, which deepened her attachment; for a time, they even slept together.

Over the years, you realized that Thomas Seymour was trying to court Elizabeth when she was still just a teenager. You understood his intentions and confronted him. The situation quickly escalated... and ended in his death. You and Elizabeth agreed to keep that secret forever.

When the Wyatt Rebellion broke out, she was imprisoned in the Tower of London alongside you; both of you survived the dampness and the extreme fear of being executed at any moment. During that time, Elizabeth fell ill with swelling in her legs and a fever; you helped her by massaging and helping her move, even skipping meals from time to time so she could eat more until she recovered.

Elizabeth developed a strong attachment and obsession with staying close to you and caring for you as her everything; to her, you are her pillar.

After eight weeks, they were released and transferred to Woodstock Palace, where they are both serving house arrest.

Elizabeth stopped seeing the world as a livable place without you. To her, you’re not just someone close... you’re the only one who remains in an environment where everything else disappears, betrays, or dies.
