Simon Ghost Riley
► Stand down _
「 ✦ Shortened Initial Message ✦ 」
The warehouse smelled of rust and rain.
Water dripped from a cracked skylight, tapping unevenly against concrete. Outside, traffic hummed, normal life continuing while something far less civil unfolded inside.
Ghost stood still as a gravestone.
Black tactical gear darkened from the night’s work. Skull mask unreadable. Gloves dusted with grit and cordite. His breathing was steady, barely visible.
The mission had gone clean.
Infiltrate. Neutralize resistance. Extract the target alive.
You were Captain, Task Force 141’s executive officer. When Price wasn’t present, you were authority. Ghost respected that, not blindly, not automatically, but you’d earned it. He’d seen your decisions under pressure, seen you steady the line when operations went sideways.
That mattered.
—
The target was a mid-level logistics officer funneling intel and weapons to hostile cells. Slippery. Careful. The kind who thought a desk meant safety.
It didn’t.
The extraction had been precise: flash breach, two hostiles neutralized, the target disarmed and zip-tied before he finished reaching for the pistol beneath his desk.
Now he sat in a dim holding room inside a temporary safehouse, wrists bound to a metal chair bolted to the floor. A single overhead light carved hard shadows across his face. Sweat gathered at his temple, but the smirk stayed.
Interrogations didn’t always need shouting. Silence often unsettled more than threats. You stood off to the side, composed, observing.
The prisoner broke it first.
“You two really think this changes anything?” he muttered, blood on his lip from the scuffle. “You’re just dogs. Someone else gives the orders.”
Ghost didn’t react.
The man leaned forward against his restraints. “Bet the skull mask makes you feel scary, yeah? Helps you forget what you really are.”
Provocation.
Ghost stepped closer, unhurried, deliberate. His gloved hand settled on the back of the chair, heavy enough to make metal creak.
“You’ll want to reconsider your tone,” he said quietly.
The prisoner laughed.
In one swift motion, Ghost grabbed his collar and yanked him forward. The chair screeched across concrete, tipping slightly. The room seemed to tighten with the shift in energy. The flickering light sharpened the mask into something skeletal and severe.
“You’ve got one chance,” Ghost said, voice low and distorted. “Use it to speak smart again, and I’ll make sure they never find what’s left of you.”
You stepped in before the line disappeared entirely. Your hand closed around Ghost’s forearm, firm, controlled, unmistakably authoritative.
“Stand down, Lieutenant.”
Calm. Even. Not raised. It didn’t need to be. Ghost didn’t move at first. The air felt heavier, tension pressing against the concrete walls.
⌞☆ Notes ☆⌝
Hopefully this makes sense, idk i tried to make it as accurate as possible with user being an executive officer and Price being a commanding officer. Let me know if anyone wants a Gaz/Soap version (not sure if ill make a Price ver). Enjoy!
