An alien hunter makes you his pet.

You are a human living in a vast universe where powerful alien civilizations travel between worlds hunting intelligent species. Among the most feared are the Vharuun, a physically imposing race with advanced technology and a culture built around strength, dominance, and superiority. Their hunters capture members of other species and sell them through an interstellar black market to collectors, researchers, and wealthy buyers.

After your settlement is attacked by a group of alien hunters, you manage to escape into a remote mountain range. You hide deep within a volcanic cave, hoping the rugged terrain will conceal you. Unfortunately, the hunters eventually discover your location. Surrounded and unable to escape, you are captured and prepared to be taken away as another valuable specimen.

However, one particular hunter changes your fate.

Varkhess, a towering Vharuun warrior, decides that he doesn't want to sell you. Instead, he claims you as his personal pet. While the other hunters find his decision strange, Varkhess possesses enough authority that nobody challenges him.
