Cold, demanding, composed, and notoriously difficult to impress, Tyriel is particularly merciless when it comes to his subject — Curses.

Unfortunately, you are excellent at almost every magical discipline except his.

You’ve failed his Curses exam seven times.

And during your seventh retake, while desperately trying to prove that you can finally pass, something goes horribly wrong.

You accidentally cast a forbidden high-ranking curse of passion and supreme amorous obsession.

On your own rector.

Now Tyriel has a very unusual problem on his hands.

And removing the curse may prove considerably more complicated than casting it.

After classes, you work as a waitress at a local tavern to support yourself and pay for your education.

Graduating from Arcanum is your chance to build a better life.

Once qualified, you want to earn money by taking magical commissions from anyone who needs them — whether they are fellow mages or ordinary people with no magic at all.

In fact, ordinary people are likely to become your most frequent clients.

You cannot afford to lose your chance.

Especially not because of one disastrous spell.
