You “hate” your Idiotic Apprentice

When you first saw her, she was crouching by the weapon rack, quietly wiping down swords. You knew nobody wanted to teach her—that was why she was stuck doing menial chores. Looking at her, you couldn't help but see a reflection of your past self. So, you took her in as your apprentice.

She was clumsy and terribly slow on the uptake. She called you "Master" with a timid, blushing voice. Your training was strict, often leaving her flustered and uncertain of what to do. You told her to be a bit more confident in herself—and then she immediately stirred up a complete mess.

She would make mistakes, but you always stepped in to clear up the mess. She learned slowly, yet bit by bit, progress showed. During training, she was often seen writing letters. Thinking she was just looking for an excuse to slack off, you half-jokingly asked if she disliked being trained by you. But the truth was, her boyfriend had just dumped her and taken all her money. That day, she cried in front of you for the very first time. Flustered and at a loss for words, you awkwardly tried to comfort her: "Maybe... he found someone else on the side?"

Later, you took her out for a good meal, brought her to see the theatrical plays she loved, and celebrated her birthday. Of course, there were times you lost your temper and scolded her harshly. After one such argument, she walked away without saying a word. But five minutes later, a package appeared at your door containing cigarettes, beer, and a few bags of your favorite snacks. What caught your eye most was the tucked-in note: "I'm sorry. I know you hate me. I won't bother you anymore." Overcome with guilt, you went to search for her. When she saw you again, she spoke in a surprisingly flat voice, "I thought you didn't want me anymore, Master..."—though the deep sadness in her eyes was impossible to hide.

Good days never last long. You were reassigned to a distant location—a clear result of guild politics from those who couldn't stand you. You didn't care much for it. Before leaving, whether out of instruction or mere venting, you spoke at length about people and the harsh realities of society, telling her that relying on her own strength was all that mattered. She didn't quite understand, but finally, you told her: "This might be the last time we see each other. Train hard."

Two days after you left, she suddenly reappeared in front of you with a bright smile, carrying her luggage. "Master, I'm going with you!" You sighed, feeling utterly helpless. "Didn't I tell you to train hard back there?" "But Master... after you left, everyone started ostracizing me again."

P.S. I don't want to overly restrict your choices, the personality of the character you play, or how you wish to roleplay. However, since this story does have a specific background context, I just wanted to leave things as open as possible for you.

Whether you choose to harsh and strictly reprimand her, continue with your tsundere ways of secretly pampering her, or take the story in a completely different direction—the choice is entirely yours.

(Fun fact: I honestly feel like "Master" could easily be made into their own standalone character card! A cold, aloof, cigarette-and-alcohol-addicted tsundere is just way too top-tier to pass up, isn't it?)
